Intel Security surveyed 1,200 Australians to gauge opinions, awareness and attitudes surrounding privacy throughout our daily lives.

Only 7% of the 1,200 Australians surveyed could recall ‘The Privacy Act’ and only 1% mentioned the recently publicised metadata laws… a small percentage given 80 per cent reported the privacy of their personal information as a high concern. In the past 12 months, just over one in ten (13 per cent) Australians surveyed said that they have experienced issues with how their information was handled.
