Who Are We Looking For?
Shred-X is searching for our next group of Owner-Drivers who take pride in his or her work, get the routes done as efficiently and effectively as possible and contributes to the branch’s success.
We have openings in our branches across Australia for go go-getters who have the following qualities:
You will need to be an experienced, stable, reliable operative who is able to follow the route plan consistently and exercise a bit of initiative when needed.
If you want to drive the right vehicle to suit our business, you will need an MR or HR truck license.
SOME ADMIN & COMPLIANCE DETAILS
Shred-X will provide you with all the occupational health and safety training you will need, including Environmental Awareness, Chain of Responsibility and Manual Handling.
We’ll provide you with an income forecast to help you buy a vehicle if you don’t already have one and we’ll manage the clients and collect the money.
All you have to do is be a great customer facing representative, focus on safe driving and stick to the route plan of the day. EASY.
WHAT’S THE PAY LIKE?
- It’s an incentive-based system whereby the more work you do, the more earning potential you have.
- Your branch will manage take care of all the invoicing and chasing of the money. You’ll get paid weekly based on the jobs you’ve completed.
- As an owner driver, you’ll need to budget for your business expenses (for e.g. fuel & vehicle rego) out of your revenue – it’s not all pure profit.
WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF YOU?
Shred-X will need to rely on your pleasant demeanor when dealing with our customers. You will be, on most occasion, the only face of our company to customers, so your attitude and presentation really counts just as much as your safe and efficient driving ability does.
Shred-X expects our Owner-Drivers to pride themselves in helping our customers have the best experience when dealing with our business, ensuring customers can get on with their business without interruptions or hassles.
Shred-X asks for honesty always. People who don’t live up to our ethical standards do not last long at Shred-X. This also means you can never be under the influence of alcohol or drugs when you work for us.
WHAT WE WON’T ASK YOU TO DO
- We won’t ask you to work weekends. You can if you want to earn some extra money, but it’s not required.
- We won’t ask you to take risks as one of our company values is to ensure the safety of our staff and owner-drivers by making sure everyone gets home safely every day!
- You don’t need to chase payments – we’ll take care of the administration for you and pay you weekly, on the same day each week.
