Anonymous Logins may not be ‘anonymous’ at all.
According to the Forbes article the enhancement called ‘Anonymous Logins’ is designed to limit the passing of information onto third parties. In theory this is a positive step forward (for Facebook users) however the use of these ‘other services’ won’t be anonymous to Facebook. Facebook will continue to collect ‘your data’ and no doubt use this information to provide more value to advertisers on their newly released Mobile Ad Network, Audience.
At the end of the day if you are conscious of your online identity (and you should be) please limit the use of social network login options when signing up/subscribing to various websites. It may challenge you to remember passwords however the less people know about your online activities the better.
