Our roots are firmly planted in sustainability, with Shred-X having begun operations in 1999 in the paper recovery industry. Today, our commitment to environmental preservation remains steadfast, and we continue to seek new, innovative processing, recycling and repurposing avenues to ensure our business operates in the most ethically responsible manner.
Our focus on circular economy solutions and protecting Australia’s natural resources means that destroying your materials won’t cost the earth – literally and financially. Through our partnership with Australian recyclers, Shred-X recovers 98.5% of the material collected and processed through our facilities, so we can also assist your business in meeting the most stringent sustainability targets and government regulations. Shred-X will issue your business with an Environmental Impact Statement outlining your organisation’s positive contribution to the environment via detailed, bona fide metrics.
Managing our Footprint
Positively contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable world lies at the heart of Shred-X. Beyond paper, we have engaged recycling and repurposing partners in e-Waste, textiles, carton packaging as well as plastic product developers and waste-to-energy processors.
Additionally, through collaboration with partners in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, Shred-X is working on innovative solutions towards Australia’s commitment to eliminate food packaging going to landfill by 2025.
Shred-X facilities incorporate the latest and most environmentally sustainable shredding and processing technologies. However, despite doing everything we can to protect the environment, we are aware of our own footprint. Shred-X engaged an independent carbon adviser to review and measure the greenhouse emissions created by our operations to provide accurate reporting capabilities. Our Environmental Policy and recycling partnerships reflect Shred-X’s ongoing commitment to improving the sustainability of the business, while also ensuring our services remain cost effective and best practice.
